Nurse Practitioners

Michelle Horne (f)

Michelle sees a wide range of patients from 1 years upwards for a variety of healthcare issues.  She is experienced in dealing with contraception initiation and review and gynaecological issues and chronic disease management.

Elizabeth Melvin (f)

Liz joined our team as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in 2017.  She runs the Minor Illness Clinic along with Michelle and Alicia.  Whilst she sees and treats patients of all ages, her speciality is Paediatrics, having many years experience in a hospital environment advising and treating children of all ages.  

Alicia Miller (f)

Alicia qualified in 1978 and in 1999 she obtained her BSc (Hons) Healthcare Practitioner.  She supports the work of the GPs by running a Minor Illness Clinic with Michelle and Liz, utilising her Independant Prescribing Qualification where appropriate to reduce patient waiting times.  Other clinical interests include Asthma, Diabetes, hypertension and CHD chronic disease clinics.


Norma Balfour (f)

Norma trained as an RGN in the 1970’s and after gaining experience as a qualified nurse went onto train as a midwife. She joined the practice in 1982 and in her role of Senior Practice Nurse she runs Asthma and COPD clinics. Other interests include travel, child vaccination and well woman clinics.

Kerry Noble (f)

Kerry has recently completed her General Practice Nursing Programme qualification and has a special interest in chronic disease management.  She is also involved with child immunisation and well woman clinics.  She has recently achieved her Prescribing qualification.

Sarah Gray (f)

Sarah, is one of our Treatment Room Nurses, who is also involved with our well woman clinics.  She is currently furthering her training within the General Practice Nursing Programme.

Michaela Preece (f)

Michaela is the most recent member of our team joining us as a Treatment Room Nurse.

Healthcare Assistants

Joan Gay (f)

Joan spends half of her week working as a Phlebotomist/Healthcare Assistant.  The other half is spent working in admin.
