We offer the following clinics:-
Cos Lane can offer oral contraception, commonly known as 'The Pill' and contraceptive advice.
IUCD/ IUS – intrauterine contraceptives - Mirena and coils can be fitted by Dr Jacqui Smith and last at least 5 years they are a Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive, commonly known as "fit and forget contraception"
Contraceptive Implants - Nexplanon can be fitted by Michelle Horne, Advanced Nurse practitioner and last up to 3 years they are a Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive, commonly known as "fit and forget contraception"
Removal of contraceptive implants and intrauterine devices whether they were fitted here or elsewhere can also be carried out at the surgery.

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
Some requests for medical examinations require specialised equipment and cannot be carried out. The most common of these are employment medicals that require audiometric testing.

RESPIRATORY ANNUAL REVIEWS
Invites are issued once a year to all patients with Asthma using regular inhalers and those with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
It is important to attend your annual review even when you are feeling well so we can assess your lung condition and how well your medication is helping you at your baseline, not just when you are unwell.

Please bring all your inhalers/devices to your review appointment, and do your best to refrain from smoking before you come so we can assess you at your best.

THYROID ANNUAL REVIEWS
Invites are issued at least once a year to all patients with Thyroid problems who are currently taking thyroid replacement medication, including Levothyroxine.
It is important to attend your annual review even when you are feeling well so we can assess your thyroid condition and how well your medication is helping you at your baseline, not just when you are unwell. Having a blood level that is too high or too low can cause other health issues which are important to pick up and prevent, but don't always cause obvious symptoms.
Your appointment will be with one of our Healthcare Assistants and your check MAY include:
We will contact you if you need a change in medication dose or an earlier repeat test, but otherwise will not routinely contact you with your result, so please telephone the surgery a few days after your blood test for your results to confirm your result is back and normal.
